What is actually on the siding?
Visible buildup can include dirt, algae and organic growth. One side of a home may be much worse than another because shade and moisture change how quickly the surface dries.

Why is siding soft washed?
Shine's published method uses roughly garden-hose pressure. A cleaning solution loosens the dirt, algae and organic buildup, then the siding is rinsed with water.
Pressure is not the cleaning agent.
High pressure can force water behind cladding. Shine's standard instead uses low pressure throughout and does not use high-pressure water on the wall.
Garden beds are wetted before the wash and rinsed afterward. If the process appears to affect paint or the surface, the crew standard says to stop and call rather than push through.

What is included in siding cleaning?
Shine's Prince George service includes soft washing the siding and outside trim at low pressure, then rinsing the cleaned surfaces and any windows touched by the siding solution.
That is different from a finished window clean. Soffits, exterior eaves, railings and other exterior areas are separately quoted unless your quote says otherwise.
What will soft washing not fix?
Cleaning is not repainting or restoration. Shine's standard excludes oxidation and permanent staining. If the surface is not responding, paint is lifting or the work appears to make the wall look worse, the crew is expected to stop and contact the customer.
Temperature matters too. The current guide treats siding cleaning as warm-weather work rather than pushing ahead when cold conditions make vinyl or water unsafe.
